Updated Newsletter Designed for Stronger Engagement

HiBid's redesigned newsletter boosts bidder engagement, increasing clicks and bids on Featured Auctions, while reducing unsubscribe rates.


We recently redesigned the HiBid bidder newsletter with a cleaner, more modern layout that puts the right content front and center. The goal was simple: create a better experience for bidders while increasing the value and performance of our Featured placements. 

Why We Built This

"While consistency is very important in marketing, these emails were ripe for change," said Samantha Jelinske, HiBid's Senior Manager of Marketing Operations & Customer Experience. She continued with "this change was made following the successful updates to our custom email templates. A more holistic experience change to all of our marketing communications is in development."

Results That Matter

Since launching the updated design, we’ve seen: 

  • 30%+ increase in clicks on Featured Auction placements 
  • 13%+ increase in bids directly attributable to the newsletter 
  • 14% decrease in unsubscribe rates, showing stronger engagement and less bidder fatigue 

These results confirm that the simplified design is making a meaningful difference. Featured auctions are getting more visibility, bidders are taking more action, and overall engagement with the newsletter has strengthened. The cleaner layout not only enhances the look and feel, it’s helping sellers drive more activity to their auctions.
